My Approach
The Wisdom of the Body and Radical Honesty
I believe deeply that what appears to be an obstacle on the path is, in truth, the path itself. Our work is not about fighting or rejecting the parts of you that are in pain, but about meeting them with kind curiosity, exploring and integrating them. It is there that true transformation can take place.
The pillars of my support: :
The wisdom of the body: My approach is primarily somatic (body-centered). It rests on the conviction that the body carries an innate wisdom, holding the imprints of life experiences. By learning to listen to it, we access a profound source of healing.
Radical honesty: I integrate the principle of radical honesty—towards oneself, within the therapeutic relationship, and in relationships with others. This practice is a powerful catalyst for liberation, inviting us to move beyond the stories we tell ourselves and touch the truth of our direct experience.
Radical Honesty as an Art of Living in Relationship:
Radical honesty does not stop at the office door. I see it as a commitment to living more authentic relationships. In our work together, this means I encourage you to express what is truly happening for you during the session. This mutual transparency creates an extraordinarily fertile ground of trust for healing.
Embodied Processing:
I am certified in Embodied Processing, an innovative approach that aims to heal trauma and nervous system dysregulation by addressing its source directly: physical sensations.
How does a session work?
A typical session unfolds around several key stages:
Investigation – Together, we identify a current problematic situation or persistent feeling to explore.
Resourcing Safety – We first cultivate a grounded sense of bodily safety, so that difficult sensations can be welcomed without overwhelm.
Welcoming & Exploration – We invite the physical sensation, or the “part” of you carrying the charge, to express itself.
Tracing to the Origin – We follow the body’s sensations to the original imprint, often rooted in early life.
Processing & Completion – You are guided to safely move through the emotion, allowing the body to “close the loop.”
Integration – We finish by ensuring your nervous system returns to calm and resourced presence.
